A LIVE EARTH concert took place in the US capital Washington DC after organiser Al Gore beat off a challenge to ban it.
Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood and Native Roots all performed at the hastily arranged event at The Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian.
