Aerosmith rockers Joe Perry and Steven Tyler made the most of the massive blackout that brought America's East Coast to a standstill earlier this month (AUG03) - they hopped on their HARLEY DAVIDSONS and raced to their favourite ice-cream store.
The pair thrilled staff at MR C'S CUSTOM CONE store in Detroit, Michigan, by turning up unexpectedly after shows they were headlining were scrapped due to the power outage.
Store owner TOM DUNLEAVY said he had no idea who the duo were until some of his female employees began to "go crazy."
He says, "Steven Tyler introduced himself and was extremely nice to everyone in the place. He signed autographs, posed for photographs and even called employees' friends on their cellphones."
The postponed show at Detroit's COMERCIA PARK has now been rescheduled for 7 September (03).26/08/2003 02:04
