Adrien Brody tinkled the ivories incessantly for his OSCAR winning role in THE PIANIST - filling his house with four pianos.
His celebrated performance as WLADYSLAW SZPILMAN was aided by teachers from across the globe, and Brody invested the time in making his re-creation look authentic.
He says, "I practiced constantly. I had teachers in Paris, Poland, Berlin and New York. Now what I love is to play hip-hop.
"I wish I still played, but I haven't got time now. Also, I don't have a piano.
"But while all that's happened is wonderful, what's really wonderful is that my mother, who lives in Bushwick, went to the YWCA and there they hung a newspaper photo of her with me on the wall. She was thrilled. I was, too."
