Ailing singer Adele has found a clever way of communicating while on vocal rest - she uses a special smart phone application which speaks whatever message is typed.
The Rolling in the Deep hitmaker underwent surgery to repair a recurrent throat condition last month (Nov11) and she has been ordered by doctors to minimise the use of her voice to quicken her recovery.
However, chatty Adele has struggled to go about her daily life without speaking her thoughts so she has begun using the software programme for completing various tasks, such as ordering her coffee.
She tells, "It is far easier to communicate using it rather than writing everything down on paper and showing people."
