Adele is planning to finally take her driving test.

The 'Skyfall' hitmaker reportedly put off taking her motoring exam due to the phenomenal success of her album '21' in 2011, but the singer is eager to earn her driver's licence so she can drive her five-month-old son Angelo - her child with fiancé Simon Konecki - around.

A source told The Sun newspaper: ''She's never taken a test because of her busy schedule over the past few years. Now she's back in the country she wants to use her downtime to finally pass her test.

''She may have various awards to her name but all she wants is her driving test certificate. There will be no sports cars though - she is eyeing up a more family-friendly car so she can carry the whole clan.''

The 24-year-old singer rented Sir Paul McCartney's Los Angeles home during her stay in Hollywood to prepare for the Oscars last month and she became so enamoured with the city she is reportedly considering a permanent move there to raise Angelo.

A source recently said: ''Adele can see the benefits of bringing up a child in the US. They can be outside, enjoying the weather and loving life out of the spotlight.

''Los Angeles is a great place for children to grow up and she intends on working a lot more with a new album. She could afford to put a studio in her house. That way she could beaver away on new music without having to worry.''

Adele owns homes in London and Brighton, South East England, and currently divides her time between the two properties.
