Singing sensation Adele will go head-to-head with the Arctic Monkeys and Friendly Fires at the upcoming Independent Music Awards after landing two top nominations.
The British star's sophomore record 21 has been tipped for the Best Difficult Second Album, alongside Bon Iver's self-titled disc, Fleet Foxes' Helplessness Blues, Pala by Friendly Fires, and Toddla T's Watch Me Dance.
She's also received a nod in the Ppl Award for Most Played Independent Artist, where she'll face off with the Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend and The XX.
Rockers The Horrors have been nominated in the Independent Breakthrough of the Year section, as have metal group Bring Me The Horizon, jazz star Caro Emerald and producer SBTRKT.
Bjork will receive the Outstanding Contribution to Music trophy at the Association of Independent Music's (Aim) inaugural ceremony, which will take place in London on 10 November (11).
