Gaelle Paul says Adele ''stands out'' on the red carpet because she doesn't try to.
The LA-based stylist began a relationship with the star back in 2009, turning her into a style icon with her signature black dresses, and believes one of the reasons behind her huge success is that people can relate to her look.
She said: ''She has a strong style - her hair and make-up are really strong - but in an odd way, she stands out by not trying to stand out.''
Despite much being said about Adele's figure not conforming to the accepted celebrity size this didn't stop Gaelle from taking on the challenge.
She told Britain's Glamour magazine: ''You need to look at your resources and think, 'How do I get what I need, or where else am I going to look?'''
So designers such as Burberry and Moschino stepped forward offering to tweak their designs for Adele's size and taste.
Gaelle added: ''Adele puts it on and feels it.''
