British singer Adele has rocketed to the top of the U.S. album charts after debuting new release 21 with 352,000 sales.
The tally gives the Rolling in the Deep singer the biggest sales week of 2011.
She also tops the U.S. Digital Albums countdown with 217,000 downloads.
Adele becomes the first act to land her first two releases in the top 20 since Justin Bieber achieved the feat last year (10) - her 2009 debut, 19, shoots up the new chart from 50 to 16.
Meanwhile, Someone Like You - the emotional song that prompted Adele to dash offstage in tears at the Brit Awards last month (Feb11) - is one of the singles chart's highest debuts at 45.
Bieber's Never Say Never: the Remixes, Mumford & Sons' Sigh No More and the Now 37 compilation all slip spots to numbers two, three and four on the new album countdown, while Bieber's My World 2.0 jumps up three places to complete the new top five. Bieber matches his own April 2010 record when he became the last act to have two albums in the top five.
