Adam Levine is determined MAROON 5's recent Grammy Award win for Best New Artist will not change the band's approach to music making.

Artists such as Evanescence, Shelby Lynne and Paula Cole, have found the award to be a curse rather than a blessing, but the THIS LOVE hitmaker insists Maroon 5 can't fail because they are only interested in making good music.

He says, "Obviously our lives have changed in a lot of ways, but we can't really acknowledge that change too much because otherwise we will be screwed, we will fall into the curse of the best new artist.

"I think the people that have fallen under the curse of the best new artist are the people that believe that they are the best new artist. We won luckily and we are not going to apologise for it. We appreciate it."
