Adam Levine attempts to imitate the dance moves of Rolling Stones front-man Mick Jagger in the new video for Maroon 5's 'Moves Like Jagger', featuring Christina Aguilera. In the clip, which hit the web on Monday (8th August 2011), Levine appears shirtless dancing in-front of a Union Jack.
The video also features some rare archive footage of the Stones singer himself, with Levine telling MTV News, "We were lucky enough to get Mick's endorsement, as far as him giving us access to a bunch of different footage, that's so cool. Not many people have seen it, especially a newer generation of people that don't know so much about how incredible he was". The track, which features the lyrics, "You want the moves like Jagger, I got the moves like Jagger', is currently at No.1 on the US iTunes chart and will be released in the UK next week. Levine recently hit the headlines after suing games company Activision for exploiting his name and likeness in their popular 'Guitar Hero' game. According to TheWrap, the singer agreed for his track 'She Will Be Loved' to be used in the game, but did not agree to a feature whereby users can make him sing up to 60 other songs.
'Moves Like Jagger' debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it Maroon 5's first top ten hit since their 2007 track 'Makes Me Wonder'.
