Adam Lambert at the 25th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation's Academy Awards Viewing Party held at The City of West Hollywood Park - West Hollywood, California, United States - Monday 27th February 2017

Adam Lambert- A variety of stars from the music industry were photographed as they arrived at the Brit Awards 2015 which were held at the O2 arena in London, United Kingdom - Wednesday 25th February 2015
Sceptics were silenced when Adam Lambert took to the stage with Queen in Leeds on Tuesday evening (20th January). They may be over halfway through their worldwide tour, but the group were still going strong when they performed at the First Direct Arena.
Lambert, although a relatively new face in the UK, is well known in the US as a solo artist following his 'American Idol' breakthrough in 2009. His suitability as Queen's lead singer has frequently been called into question but, after numerous performances with the band since 2011, there is little doubt that Lambert is a highly talented addition to the group and one both guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor wholeheartedly approve of.
As with any performer who appears alongside Queen, Lambert is living in the shadow of Freddie Mercury. Mercury is renowned as one of the greatest frontmen of all time. With his showmanship and often brash humour, he has remained prominent in the public imagination as someone who exhibited true talent and joie de vivre but tragically died too young. Purists argue that Queen died with Mercury but, with Lambert at the helm supported by the experience of May and Taylor, it is evident this belief is unfounded.
The band will play 21 dates including seven UK shows.
Queen and Adam Lambert will be hitting the road next year, playing a massive 21 date arena tour across Europe. The shows mark the first time the band and singer have played together in Europe since a six date tour in 2012.
Beginning in the UK at Newcastle Arena on January 13, the band will then play a total of seven shows across the UK including London's O2 Arena. They’ll then move on to France before hitting Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Italy, Denmark, Czech Republic and ending on February 19th at Zurich's Hallenstadion.

Queen and Adam Lambert rocked the United Center with a tour kick-off to remember.
Queen and Adam Lambert have managed to ace the nerve-wracking first night of their tour in North America, rocking Chicago's United Center to its foundations with a bombastic rock show to surpass all others. Combining theatrical flair with jaw-dropping vocal abilities, Queen's adopted singer, Adam Lambert proved his worth as the successor to Freddie Mercury once more.
A Stormingly Successful Opening Night Left Queen & Adam Lambert Fans Hungry For More.
"We've played to some of your mothers and fathers," guitarist Brian May remarked to the full-house crowd during last night's show. "And some of your grandchildren, I'm sure." Noughties Queen singer Paul Rodgers may have had the ability to pull of the power rock group's more challenging numbers, but it is Idol alum Lambert who truly embodies the spirit of the late flamboyant frontman.

The teaser begins with old footage of Queen performing with former frontman Freddie Mercury alongside the intro to their smash hit 'We Will Rock You'. Then we see a few highlights from Queen and Adam Lambert's highly praised gig at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas last year where they formed several major hits including 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and 'We Are The Champions'. Slices from newscasts can also be seen in the video, with a clip of Brian May telling reporters, 'I wish Freddie was around to see him because Freddie would be awestruck.'
Further dates have been added to their upcoming North American tour due to huge demand following their iHeartRadio venture, leaving the schedule now adding up to 24 dates - beginning in Chicago on June 19th 2014 and closing in Toronto on July 28th. 'I'm completely in awe of the Queen phenomenon', Adam has insisted. 'The thought of sharing the stage for a full set in North America is so beautifully surreal. I'm honored to be able to pay my respects to Freddie's memory.'
The heiress wore Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry outfits to celebrate the spooky holiday.
It's tough enough settling on one Halloween costume idea for most people, let alone affording multiple outfits for different parties but this is apparently what heiress Paris Hilton has chosen to do, starting with a Miley Cyrus ensemble at Hugh Hefner's legendary Halloween Playboy Mansion party.
Paris Rocked Up In Miley Cyrus' Infamous VMAs Bear Leotard.
Though Paris, 32, is known to relish donning outrageous and revealing costumes each year, it looks like she's outdone herself in 2013 with a reported $5,000 spent on Halloween gear which will also include a custom-made jungle outfit like the one worn by Katy Perry in her 'Roar' music video, according to The Daily Mail.

The two day iHeartRadio Festival kicked off with head-liners Elton John and Queen leading the way at the Las Vegas MGM Grand arena.
The iHeartRadio Music Festival hit the MGM Grand Garden for the 3rd consecutive year on Friday (Sept 20th) to kick-off the 2 day extravaganza.
Elton John received the biggest cheer from the Las vegas crowd
The action-packed first day saw performers such as Chris Brown, Katy Perry and Robin Thicke take to the stage, but the most anticipated performances came from British rock legends ‘Queen’ and another British pop culture icon Elton John.

She's 21: will there be enough to fill a whole book? Maybe a Lovato pamphlet then...
Demi Lovato is releasing her very own memoir, come November, entitled Staying Strong: 365 Days A Year. The 21 year-old former Disney star has apparently agreed to a "multi-book" deal with Feiwel and Friends, according to Billboard.
Demi's Diversifying Her Showbiz Career.
This isn't the first career divergence of the year for Lovato: she'll also be starring in the new season of Glee, playing a New York wannabe singer and Adam Lambert's nemesis. Staying Strong... will apparently be comprised on tweets that Lovato has written over the past year about her life and problems. So it would be possible to say that Demi has been hard at work on her first memoir over the course of the year. A year in progress? Tick.

"It's gonna be awful." The 'Glee' sports coach has opened up about the Cory Monteith memorial episode and Demi Lovato's arrival in new series.
Glee goes on: actress Jane Lynch has spoken of her feelings towards the fifth - said to be final - series of the high school TV show. Speaking at the Television Academy Performers Peer Group Reception, the 53 year-old said that it's not going to be an easy ride for any of the cast or crew to bid a final farewell to Cory Monteith who was found dead at 31 after a drugs overdose, reports E!.
Jane Lynch Has Described The Cory Monteith Tribute Episode As "Beautiful."
The actress tweeted yesterday (21st Aug) "Just read Cory Monteith memorial episode. Most beautiful thing. Thank you, @MrRPMurphy @BFalchuk Ian Brennan." Glee creator Ryan Murphy revealed this week that despite rumours, the final episode would not have Monteith's Finn Hudson written out of the show by a drugs overdose.

The X Factor judge proudly announced her upcoming appearance on the musical-comedy, only to be met with rumours that her phone has been hacked and nude photos were stolen from it
Demi Lovato will continue her good relationship with Fox this fall when she appears in the network's hit show Glee as part of a six-episode (with the potential for more) story arc. Unfortunately for the X Factor judge however, the news that she will be joining with the hit show has been overshadowed somewhat by the recent rumour that the star had her phone hacked, with the hacker finding and willing to sell nude photos of the star.
The singer/actress will appear on Glee for a number of episodes this fall
TV Line first revealed that Lovato will be appearing as Dani, a friend of Rachel and Santana who the pair know from their time in New York, on Monday (19 August). The star, who turns twenty-one today (20 August), will also feature with fellow guest-star Adam Lambert throughout her run on the show, and will feature in a number of duets together with the American Idol contestant. The news that she will be returning to acting - her first time since the Disney series Sonny With A Chance ended two years ago - was greatly overshadowed however, when Radar Online claimed to have been offered nude photos of the star for a nominal fee later the same day.
'Lovelace' stars Amanda Seyfried and Sharon Stone epitomise sophistication at the Los Angeles premiere for pornstar biopic 'Lovelace'.
Continuing its premiere streak in the US, 'Lovelace' arrived in Los Angeles last night (August 5th 2013) with lead star Amanda Seyfried turning heads yet again on the red carpet.
The actress, who plays troubled porn star Linda Lovelace in the movie about her life, left the rouge lippie that she wore for both the Las Vegas and New York premieres at home this time, instead opting for statement smoky eyes and scooping her hair up rather than letting her long locks hang loose in her trademark over-one-shoulder style. The ageless Sharon Stone also impressed on the red carpet, donning a sophisticated black trouser suit, while Juno Temple teamed her suit with bright yellow heels and a T-shirt featuring a cheeky Lovelace-related slogan. A very serious-looking Chris Noth, who stars as Anthony Romano in the movie, also appeared at the event, alongside his fedora-wearing co-star Adam Brody.

The pop star is now a Gleek
If Glee isn’t careful, it’ll start being called a reality TV show rather than a musical sitcom; the all-singing all-dancing comedy has enlisted Adam Lambert, who was runner up in the eight season of American Idol. Showrunner and co-creator Ryan Murphy announced the news on Wednesday with a Tweet.
Adam Lambert and his ridiculous head
"I am thrilled to announce that the super talented Adam Lambert is joining the cast of 'Glee' this fall," he announced. He isn’t the first American Idol alumni to join the show: Jessica Sanchez – runner up of flat season’s show – had a role in multiple shows playing a singer in a rival Glee club.

Bonnie McKee, featuring everyone you've ever heard of.
Think of someone currently in the pop music business – no really, anyone – and they’re probably in Bonnie McKee’s new music video for American Girl. If you’re wondering who Bonnie McKee is, you wouldn’t be the first. It’s not that you haven’t heard her music, it’s just that the songwriter has so far stayed behind the scenes, writing music for people like Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Tayo Cruz, Adam Lambert and Carly Rae Jepsen.
Bonnie McKee - we might be seeing a lot of this face in the future.
Coincidentally, all of these people make cameo appearances in her American Girl video. Joining them are other stars, like Kiss (we’re not even kidding), Macklemore, Jewel, Jason Derulo, Karmin, Kelly Osbourne – seriously, it’s pretty much the 2012 Billboard chart squeezed into a single video. Plus an appearance by McKee herself, of course. In the video, she’s eating a cheeseburger and sucking on a popsicle. It’s not as bad as it sounds, though. And to be fair, the song is quite catchy.
World War Z, which stars Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos, Daniella Kertesz, James Badge Dale and Matthew Fox is a sci-fi, 'zombie epic' directed by Marc Forster. The movie premiered in New York last night where the red carpet was inundated with stars who vast crowds had turned out to see.
World War Z premiered in New York last night (the London premiere took place on 3rd June). Amongst the stars of the movie were singer Adam Lambert; producers Dede Lambert and David Ellison; actor and film maker Lupita Nyong'o (12 Years A Slave) and child actor Ruby Jerins (Nurse Jackie). Two children who played a role in World War Z, Abigail Hargrove and Fabrizio Zacharee Guido, also attended the premiere. It was a family occasion for Brad Pitt whose father-in-law Jon Voight and his brother-in-law James Haven made an appearance on the red carper.
Pitt stars as Gerry Lane, a UN employee who travels the world attempting to end a zombie apocalypse. He delivers, according to Todd McCarthy of the Hollywood Reporter, a 'capable performance'.
Initial reviews appear to be favourable with the majority of critics claiming that World War Z has 'reinvented the zombie genre'. Others have criticised the movie for being 'bloodless' and dull.
Jamie Pressly's fight with Estella Warren came after some quick thinking and the use of a "find my phone" application.
Jamie Pressly's fight with Estella Warren in Hollywood on Friday (April 5, 2013) appears to have started over a stolen cell-phone. Pressly, of My Name is Earl fame, was enjoying herself at a birthday party in Los Angeles, until her assistant's phone went missing, leading to a nasty confrontation with Warren, 42. According to US Weekly, the police had to be called and the situation took hours to resolve.
An insider said Pressly, 35, simply wanted to get her assistant's phone back and that the confrontation could hardly be called a fight. Another source said Pressly and her assistant discovered that the phone had gone missing at the original party location, though used the "find my phone" application to track it down. Strangely, it tracked it to hotspot Bootsy Bellows, where Warren and several other guests including Zac Efron and Adam Lambert were continuing the celebrations. According to the source, Warren claimed the phone was hers once Pressly had arrived and confronted her.
At one point, drugs were allegedly discovered in Warren's purse, which led to the police getting involved. "Jaime and her assistant were volunteering for a drug test. They said the drugs weren't theirs. It was this crazy mess," added the source.

We could hardly bring ourselves to visit Russell Crowe's Twitter page when first hearing that he'd responded to Adam Lambert's criticism of Les Miserables. We assumed the boisterous Australian would take apart the former American Idol star inch-by-inch, so imagine our surprise when the actor appeared to agree with Lambert.
The singer had initially taken to Twitter after seeing the film, telling his two million followers, "Les Mis: Visually impressive w great Emotional performances. But the score suffered massively with great actors PRETENDING to be singers." In fact, his thoughts on the movie mirrored those of the critics, who gave the film generally positive reviews, though nothing out of the ordinary. Lambert added, "I do think it was cool they were singing live - but with that cast, they should have studio recorded and sweetened the vocals. The industry will say 'these actors were so brave to attempt singing this score live' but why not cast actors who could actually sound good?" Hugh Jackman and Amanda Seyfried have singing experience, though the likes of Crowe and Anne Hathaway were effectively debuting their singing voices for the first time. Crowe, who plays Javert in the epic based on Victor Hugo's novel, tweeted in response, "I don't disagree with Adam. Sure it could have been sweetened, Tom Hooper wanted it raw and real, that's how it is." MASSIVE anti-climax.
Les Miserables - described by Rolling Stones' Peter Travers as "perfectly marvellous" - is likely to score numerous Oscar nominations in the January 10 announcement.
So, Adam Lambert has finally gone and said what loads of folks were thinking anyway: the cast of Les Miserables aren’t exactly the best singers in Hollywood, so why cast them in a musical? Lambert went to see the new movie adaptation of the successful stage play and posted a string of his own reactions to the movie, on his Twitter feed.
The first of those musings read thus: “Les Mis: Visually impressive w great Emotional performances. But the score suffered massively with great actors PRETENDING to be singers.” And he continued: “...it's an opera. Hollywoods movie musicals treat the singing as the last priority. (Dreamgirls was good).” Lucky Dreamgirls, there, escaping the wrath of Lambert. However, despite denouncing the cast as not being quite up to scratch with their vocal technique, Lambert then backtracked a little (possibly not wanting to burn every showbiz bridge in town) by saying (and later reiterating) that he thought Anne Hathaway’s performance was great, as was Sasha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter.
“Sorry for being harsh but it’s so True!” he tweeted later on, before urging his naysayers to chill out and let him have his opinion, tweeting "OPINIONS!!! We all got em! Keep Calm and Discuss!” What do you think? Has he got a good point? Or is there a touch of the green eyed monster at play here?
Curves won out the day at the stad-studded VH1 Divas event that took place at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles last night (December 16), with the likes of Kelly Osbourne and Jenna Dewan-Tatum - wife of actor Channing Tatum - turning the heads of the paparazzi as they headed down the red carpet. Yes, while Miley Cyrus was winning attention on the stage, with The Sun reporting that she covered Billy Idol's 'Rebel Yell', off stage her conservative look was largely overlooked.
Adam Lambert is to host VH1 Divas, the end-of-the-year special that the channel is preparing.
The show is to focus on famous divas in pop culture, honouring, paying tribute to and sometimes poking fun at some of 2012’s infamous diva moments. Lambert himself is very excited about the event, as he said in an interview with Access Hollywood: “I just feel like people aren’t ready for this party. I don’t think anyone’s going to be ready for it. It’s going to hit them like a ton of bricks across the face and people are going to walk away from watching this thing like, ‘That was the best party of the entire year. I feel it. Yeah!”
The phrase “a ton of bricks” sounds a bit ominous to us, but the show will feature some interesting segments, according to Lambert himself. There are scheduled performances by the likes of American Idol veterans Kelly Clarkson and Jordin Sparks, as well as Demi Lovato and Keri Hilson, all fitting nicely within the diva theme. There will also be a sketch, performed by Lambert himself with real housewife NeNe Leakes. Of course, the show will also aim to pay tribute to famous divas, the late Whitney Houston and Donna Summer. Lambert is excited about hosting the show, as well as performing himself. And let’s not forget all of the crazy costumes the self-proclaimed male diva will get to wear, some of which Lambert designed himself.

VH1 Divas annual special has become a staple in the network's yearly plans since 1998, and this year sees Adam Lambert host the fabulous night, reports E!
This year the show will see performances from Demi Lovato, Ciara, Jordin Sparks, Miley Cyrus and Kelly Roland, and will include special tributes to the Whitney Houston, and Donna Summer- true divas. Lambert expressed his excitement about the post in a statement: "I'm so thrilled to be hosting VH1 Divas this year... I have a feeling it's going to be the most fabulous concert of the year! And LIVE!! Get ready for some amazing performances, killer fashion and fierce divas!" If Lambert performs then he'll certainly add to that list of amazing performances, but he's certainly got the killer fashion down to a T- especially given his recent change of hairstyle, now sporting a surprisingly flattering silver barnet.
Despite us all loving all the performers set for the show, we're not quite sure they quite stack up to the title 'Divas'. With previous performers including Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Celine Dion and the ultimate diva- Diana Ross. Anyway, we're open for them all to prove us wrong. VH1 Divas airs on December 16th.
