Young famously proposed to season three finalist DeGarmo live on the reality show's 2012 finale, and they became the first Idol couple to wed this weekend.
The pair exchanged vows in front of 250 guests, including fellow Idol alums Elliot Yamin, Michael Johns and Kevin Covais, at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel in Los Angeles.

Ace Young stole the show from 'American Idol' winner Phillip Phillips by popping the question to fellow 'American Idol' alumni Diana Degarmo last night (May 23, 2012) in a move approved by head honcho Nigel Lythgoe.
Speaking to People Magazine, Young - who came seventh in the fifth season of the reality show - said "I called [producer] Nigel [Lythgoe] directly last week and said, 'I want to do this. I'm going to do this. Is there any way I could do it at the show?', he continued "He said 'Yes, I'm not going to tell anybody until the day of ... [and] I want you to figure it out with Ryan [Seacrest]." Y'see, they're just one big happy family the 'Idol' lot.

Diana DeGarmo is dating Ace Young after having met in the Broadway revival of 'Hair.' Ace and Diana Degarmo, who are both 'American Idol' alums hadn't actually met on the reality TV show, and have been dating for over two years in secret.
The couple began dating back in 2010 and are only talking about it now. They had previously been snapped on the red carpet and both seen in 'Hair'. However now DeGarmo spoke to PEOPLE about how she had become smitten when they met in New York and their friendship had 'blossomed into a beautiful relationship'. Young, who is seven years her senior, joked that seeing DeGarmo naked in 'Hair' was all it took: 'I was already interested in her as a person before I got to see her with no clothes on. But [that] sealed the deal.' DeGarmo began touring with the cast of '9 to 5' whilst Young was back in Los Angeles, but now the two are in the same city and living together. They both write songs together, having received a Grammy nomination recently for co-writing 'It's Not Over' for fellow 'Idol' alum Chris Daughtry. Young further elaborates: 'She's my best friend. To be able to dive in with Diana and help create songs that [tell] her story is amazing.'
DeGarmo was a runner-up on season three of 'American Idol', whilst Ace came seventh on season five.
LATEST: Queen rocker Brian May is furious with the producers of American Idol after they misrepresented comments he made on the show that led to popular contestant Ace Young getting kicked off. The guitarist was seen and heard criticising Young for his plans to rearrange WE WILL ROCK YOU for his performance on a Queen tribute show. But May assures Young's fans that he made the comments that aired right at the start of rehearsals with the singer and he feels Young would have been better served if the shows editors had chosen a cut from the end of his time with the wannabe - because the guitarist was a big fan. Angry May says, "It was edited in such a way that it looked as if I was purely negative." The guitarist claims the programme made him look "as if I was against the whole thing." "We then discussed how we could improve his ideas and came up with a kind of mixture of his thoughts and ours. "It was actually pretty damn good for a quick attempt and he sang it very well live." May's comments have come too late for Young - he was voted off the TV talent show last week (ends21APR06).
