A plaque from former AC DC frontman BON SCOTT's grave has been stolen on what would have been the late singer's 60th birthday. The brass memorial, erected by the National Trust of Australia, is thought to have been taken from the grave site at Fremantle Cemetery in Western Australia on Sunday (09JUL06). Scott died tragically in 1980, aged 33, after a night of heavy drinking in London. DOUG THORNCROFT, head of Australia's Bon Scott Fan Club, says he is "shattered" by the news but hopes it will lead to tighter security around the grave. He tells Theage.com.au, "It's very disappointing, particularly at this very special time of the year. Some insignificant individual has decided to sabotage it, and steal this plaque."
