THE SOCIAL NETWORK screenwriter Aaron Sorkin is turning his attention back to TV after successfully pitching a new drama set behind the scenes of a nightly cable news show.
Sorkin created The West Wing in 1999 and penned this year's (11) Oscar-nominated The Social Network.
Now the screenwriter has signed a deal with executives at cable network HBO to shoot a pilot for a series tentatively titled, More as the Story Develops.
Casting details had yet to be announced at press time, although American news anchor Keith Olbermann is rumoured to be linked to the project.
