A Day To Remember Gig Cut Short After Fan's Balcony Fall

A Day To Remember

American rockers A Day To Remember ended their set early after a fan fell from a balcony during a concert in Portsmouth, England on Wednesday (12Nov14).

The Florida-based group was 30 minutes into the gig at Portsmouth's Guildhall venue when a 21-year-old local man plunged 20 feet (six metres) from the upper level into the stalls.

The band stopped the show immediately and announced the rest of the gig was cancelled. The venue was then evacuated so police and ambulance crews could attend to the concertgoer.

Kerrang! Releasing 'American Idiot' Tribute Album

Green Day A Day To Remember Yellowcard New Found Glory Frank Iero 5 Seconds of Summer

Popular UK rock magazine Kerrang! has been known for the occasional covermount CD packaged with one of their issues, and they’ll be adding to that list next month. On June 11, Kerrang! will be releasing a tribute album for Green Day’s iconic record, American Idiot, to celebrate its ten year anniversary. According to a flyer tweeted out by Kerrang! editor James McMahon, the track listing is set to feature bands like You Me at Six, Falling In Reverse, Frank Iero, and 5 Seconds of Summer. Additionally, extra covers from Green Day’s Dookie will be included as well. No confirmed tracks have been announced yet, but the thought of 5 Seconds of Summer possibly covering “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” while You Me at Six takes on “Jesus of Suburbia” is enough to have us anticipate the release immensely.

In the meantime, which covers from pop-punk bands have been the best? You’ve got labels like Fearless Records releasing cover compilations every year, and bands have even made their own cover full-lengths. If anything’s for certain, there’s never a shortage of a band’s rendition of the current hit pop song or a classic oldie, but no matter the genre, they’re always looking to put their own spin on it to make it theirs. In some cases, the covers actually turn out better than the original.

Britain's Duchess Catherine is redecorating Kensington Palace.

The Duchess of Cambridge is hoping to recruit interior designer Kelly Hoppen to help her plan changes to her and Prince William's home, which looks set to be the royal couple's official permanent base if he doesn't undertake another tour with the Raf.

A source told Us Weekly: ''She's keen to work with interior designer Kelly Hoppen, but she wants to do a lot herself.''

You Me At Six frontmat Josh Fransceschi said: ''To be up for Best British Band four years in a row is just insane. The people at the awards are gonna think there's a problem with the slide show when our two songs come up in a row [for Best Single]...but that they're both in that category together, showing different sides of our band is really cool.''
