Rapper 50 Cent has officially severed business ties to his former friend floyd mayweather, Jr..

The In Da Club hitmaker launched Tmt (The Money Team) Promotions with the boxing champ in July (12) to help arrange Mayweather, Jr.'s future bouts and boost his profile following a three-month prison sentence for domestic battery.

However, the working relationship between the pair soured after the fighter walked free in August (12) and 50 Cent went on to recruit Mayweather, Jr.'s rival Manny Pacquiao as his new partner.

They continued to work under the Tmt Promotions banner, but 50 Cent has now scrapped the company altogether and started afresh under the name Sms Promotions amid claims Mayweather, Jr. failed to honour an agreement to fund the original joint venture.

In a series of Twitter.com posts, the angry hip-hop mogul writes, "Tmt IS OVER the money team is no longer a team. So it (is) Sms promotions... I'm no longer apart or down with Tmt promotions... I move the fighters to Smspromotion cause the other half of the money team .Didnt put up there $Money$ (sic)".
