50 Cent surprised 'Twelve' co-star Chace Crawford with his intelligence and desire to be seen as a ''serious'' actor.
50 Cent wants to be a "serious actor".
The rapper - who has made a number of movies under his real name Curtis Jackson - impressed his 'Twelve' co-star Chace Crawford with his depth and drive to succeed.
Chace said: "I thought he might have some sort of persona he was trying to project, but he's easygoing. He's not trying to create some character. He wants to be a serious actor. I respect it. He was getting his tattoos lasered off while we were shooting and we had some good talks. I mean, he's cool. He lives in Connecticut and he's a super nice guy. Very intellectual."
Chace - who is best known for playing Nate Archibald in New York drama 'Gossip Girl' - loved working on the gritty drama because it was such a radical departure from his role in the TV show.
He added to MTV News: "I wanted to work with the director Joel Schumacher., first of all. We had a big long meeting about it and it was of high interest for me to work with him. And it was good; it was a good departure from 'Gossip Girl.' It worked out well because I'm in the city."
